The winter is but a memory and Delhi has stepped into yet another unbearable summer. In the midst of this gruelling weather, tents have gone up in Ram Lila Maidan to accommodate the participants who have converged onto New Delhi from the four corners of India. Most them have travelled great distances to make their first journey to the capital. The dusty winds of Delhi offer them no respite and serve as a stark, symbolic reminder about the struggles ahead. But, the tremendous energy of the masses was on display at Ram Lila Maidan. On this edifice of political empowerment, any change is possible!

Participants of the rally moving towards the Ram Lila Maidan in Delhi. Comrades, many of them daily wage labourers, braved the heat and the dust to travel thousands of kilometres to participate in the rally.

A group of musicians entertain the crowd as they wait for the meeting to start. Protest music was in full swing during the rally, raising the spirits of the gathered comrades.

The boundaries of region and language are broken amongst the proletariat as they unite in their fight against capital. Here comrades from Kerala and Haryana join together in shouting slogans. Soon, both groups took to studying the other groups slogans.

The Kerala State Committee makes a dramatic and energetic entry into the Ram Lila. There was comradely competition between the various groups in displays of revolutionary fervour.
