ഡോ. ടി. എം. തോമസ് ഐസക്മൊത്തം ഉല്പാദനച്ചെലവും വില്പനവിലയുമായി താരതമ്യപ്പെടുത്തിയാണ് സാധാരണ ലാഭനഷ്ടങ്ങള് തിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത്. എണ്ണയുടെ കാര്യത്തില് രീതി മാറുന്നു. അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര മാര്ക്കറ്റിലെ എണ്ണയുടെ ചില്ലറ വില്പനവിലയുമായി താരതമ്യം ചെയ്താണ് ഇവിടെ നഷ്ടക്കണക്ക് തട്ടിക്കൂട്ടിയത്. എത്ര സൂക്ഷ്മതയോടെയാണ് ഇന്ത്യന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ഈ നഷ്ടം അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് നോക്കുക. അദ്ദേഹം ഒരിക്കലും “നഷ്ടം” എന്ന വാക്ക് ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയേയില്ല. “അണ്ടര് റിക്കവറീസ്” എന്ന വാക്കാണ് അദ്ദേഹം പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ഇതിന്റെ കൃത്യമായ തര്ജ്ജമ എവിടെയും എഴുതിക്കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. വേണമെങ്കില് “കിട്ടാന് സാധ്യതയുളളതില് ഉണ്ടായ കുറവ്” എന്നു പറയാം. >>
